Put a little “Magic” in your Valentine’s Day
with Magic Bar Recipe
I had a friend share this recipe with me this past week and when I made them my family loved them. (Even my picky eater). What is so great about this recipe, you can adapt it to your likes. That is what makes it Magic! These Valentine Magic Bars are easy to make and won’t last long. They will be gobbled up fast.
This recipe can be made exactly the way the recipe calls or you can turn it into something that is specifically what your family likes. For example, I did 1 cup of chocolate chips and then 1 cup of peanut butter chips. I added almonds and only did half the pan with coconut on it. It is a fun recipe to make your own.
Now, let me share the recipe with you.
- Non Stick Cooking Spray
- 2 cups of Grahm Cracker ‘s crushed
- 3/4 cups of butter (unsalted)
- 1 (14oz) can of Condensed Sweetened Milk
- 2 cups of Semi Sweet Chocolate chips ( I do 1 c chocolate & 1 c Butterscotch or peanut butter)*
- 1 1/3 c Flaked coconut (optional)*
- 1 c Chopped nuts (optional) *
*I add any other ingredients that my family likes. Almonds, Pecans, toffee, etc.
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Spay 9 X 13 pan with cooking spray. Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl and mix. Press into prepared pan. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the graham cracker crust. Layer the remaining ingredients evenly over the pan. Press down ingredients firmly with a fork. Take a knife and loosen the edges around the pan. Let cool. Serve and Enjoy!
