Every year I make New Years Resolutions. Usually it is something with my weight or maybe making a commitment to grow closer to my Heavenly Father. With both of them being a good resolution and should be high on the priority list, I am adding this one to my list Saving Money in areas that I have not saved before or areas that I have become relaxed in.
To start, I am going to re-evaluate what we are spending each month. Where is our money going? Quick meals out? Unnecessary options on our cell phones? There are several areas that I need to look at.
One big area is my couponing. I have cleaned out my pantry this past week and found there are some things that have been opened but never finished. Is it because my family opened it and didn’t like it or is it because I have allowed too many things opened at one time before the first is finished or is it because I am purchasing things that we really don’t need or want and they are being wasted? That I have to figure out and adjust this next few weeks.
The main goal with couponing is to make couponing work for my family and not cost my family.
Over the next few weeks, I will be walking through this process with you on my site. I will give you suggestions as well as what I have found in my own budgets and habits that needs to be changed.
Wish me luck because change is hard and PLEASE give as many suggestions and ideas as you can. We all can learn from each other.
